Defend Disability Coalition
When the Ontario government was changing the definition of disability in ways that would have disqualified thousands of people from being eligible for the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), Ontario for All helped bring nonprofits together to form the Defend Disability coalition, and successfully pressed the government to abandon proposed changes, averting an estimated $500 million cut to supports for people relying on ODSP
Metamorphosis
When the Ontario Government announced their plans to dissolve the regional government in Peel, nonprofit leaders knew that this would result in a massive disruption in the grants and systems supports they rely on. Ontario for All helped coordinate the formation of The Metamorphosis Network, engaged the Transition Board proactively, and secured the reversal of all social-service-related elements of the Bill.
Transition Child Benefit
Ontario for All coordinted the Transition Child Benefit campaign, which reversed the planned cancellation of a benefit providing almsot $65 million in basic-needs support for children.
York Region Nonprofit Network
When nonprofits across the 905 Region were struggling with scarce resources and growing need, Ontario for All helped bring leaders together to form the York Region Nonprofit Network and the Metamorphosis Nonprofit Network, facilitating joint action and impactful research to shift government policies on social services funding.
